Well, for crying out loud, of course they think it is harmless. Sex is presented day after day, hour after hour, on the national media as being a harmless recreational activity--in fact, it is harmful to "repress" your desires. And so is fulfilled Proverbs 30:20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
And it just isn't dignity that is affected. Hosea 4:10,11: For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD. Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart. But what does the church know?
